The Explosion proof camera has ATEX Certifications, and is good for Zone 1, Zone 21, and Zone 2, as well as Division 1 and Division 2 areas.

Our ATEX Certifications are as follows:
ATEX II 2G Ex d IIC T6 Gb, II 2D Ex tb IIIC IP66 T80℃ Db

What that means

For II 2D Ex tb IIIC IP66 T80℃ Db

  • II: Intended for use in places other than mines susceptible to firedamp.
  • 2D: Suitable for Category 2 for dust, which means it’s intended for areas where an explosive atmosphere in the form of a cloud of combustible dust is likely to occur during normal operation.
  • Ex tb: The type of protection is “protection by enclosure for dust.” This means the equipment is protected from the ingress of dust and does not allow dust to penetrate in a quantity that could cause ignition.
  • IIIC: Dust group. Group IIIC pertains to conductive dusts like aluminum or magnesium.
  • IP66: The level of ingress protection. IP66 means the equipment is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets.
  • T80℃: The maximum surface temperature the equipment can reach, which in this case, is 80°C.
  • Db: Indicates the level of protection provided by the equipment is suitable to prevent an explosion due to the presence of dust.
